Runner up x 3 for Canada

Three events, four contestants from Canada, three runner ups to the world. That's pretty darn impressive.

Rod Hay, Lee Graves and Lindsay Sears all finished their year in second place in the world last night at the 49th National Finals Rodeo. The fourth contestant Deb Renger, was second in the average in the Barrel Racing.

Here are the 2007 PRCA World Champions

Rod Hay goes into the record books for having the highest score over 10 head at the finals (826) this surpassed the previous Wrangler NFR average record of 825 points on 10 head set by his brother-in-law Glen O’Neill during O’Neill’s world championship season in 2002.

Trevor Brazile met his goal of winning a triple crown of world titles. Brazile won secured the All around title in round 8, won the steer wrestling in November and waited until the last round to secure his tie down roping championship. Brazile joinds legends Jim Shoulders and Roy Cooper as the only two cowboys to have down this.

Brittnay Pozzi-Pharr stayed solid in her last run and remained the average winner in the barrel racing. The $42,043 she earned for winning the average gave her a record $259,713 in season earnings, $28,916 ahead of Lindsay Sears. Lindsay won $119,254.8 at this years NFR giving her $230,796.57 in season earnings.
