Martha is smoken hot in the barrel patch

Full of fire and FAST, Lindsay Sears and her seven year old mare Martha won their fourth go round of the 49th National Finals Rodeo in the 8th round. A 13.69 was enough to win the go round. In her own words "Martha has been absolutely incredible this week". Ya don't say.....lol... gotta love a girl that gives all the credit to her horse and her previous trainer Dena Kirkpatrick.

It was another tough night of barrel racing with Lisa Lockhart, Molly Powell, Jill Moody, Deb Renger, Brittnay Pozzi-Pharr all running sub 14 second runs. Only one barrel was tipped but not by anyone in the average standings so Lindsay remains 7th in the average and Brittnay in line for the $40K+ paycheck for the average.

Speed Williams and Dean Tufftin will make their first trip on stage for a go round buckle and their second cheque of the week. Long overdo they said in their interview, but made their mark posting the fastest time in the team roping this week with a 3.7.

In the calf roping, Hunter Herrin wasn't able to gain any ground on Trevor Brazile as Trevor was able to hold his own. His back must be feeling better or its so bad the pain is blocking everything else out!

Round 8 is the first night Rod Hay didn't take any money home. He was in the crying hole tonight, but still the only cowboy to cover all the horses so he is still leading the average. He made a reride to gain 3.5 points, but still not enough to take a cheque.

They don't have the videos posted yet, but I'll post them later in the day on Friday for you guys.

It will be an exciting finish in most all of the events as a lot of them are still for the taking.

Cheers!
