Graves takes 4th Round at National Finals Rodeo

Lee Graves tied for 1st place in the Steer Wresling in the 4th round of the National Finals Rodeo. Over $14,000 in his pocket from that run, Lee moves up to 4th place in the world standings, only 10,000 behind the leader Shawn Greenfield. Jason Miller leads the SW average with 17.2 on 4. Graves with his NT from round 3, may have trouble picking up the big money in the average so will look to cashing in on the next 6 rounds.

AB's Rod Hay also sits in 4th having won the most money of any Saddle Bronc rider at the NFR so far this year. Almost $42,000 richer for his four rides so far. Rod sitting also leading the average. He is the only cowboy to have ridden all four horses.

Trevor Brazile is looking for a little more coin and he will have set a new season earnings record. He currently sits with $325,868.50 to his name.

In the barrel racing, Brittany Pozzi-Phar has widened the gap by another $10,000 makeing her closest threat now $50,000 behind her. Pozz-Phar is also leading the average race. If she can keep picking away and stay in the average she will be able to "Stitch" up her first World Championship. Lisa Lockart tipped in round 4, saying goodbye to the average lead. Terra, Vicki and Deb follow Brittany in the average.

Looks like the bulls are winning at the NFR this year. Only 2 cowboys to ride last night and only Wesley Silcox has ridden 3 over 4 nights. At this point he looks to be the best bet to close the 37K gap on BJ Schumacher.

In the Team Roping, Masters and Bach lead the average and Masters retains the number 1 spot in the world. Will they win enough to move Bach up there too? He's only $11,000 behind Walt Woodard who has taken the lead away from Dean Tufftin who has come up empty so far at the finals.

So many factors remain in each and every event. Some may have better odds than others, but it still remains an exciting race for all.
