Canadians Solid during first round of National Finals Rodeo

Jill Moody's round 1 winning run The barrel racing video will come up and there will be other events and their winning runs on the right.

Keep checking back to that site www.rodeoup.com they add the winning runs every night or next morning.

Barrel Racing Round 1 results Click to go to that results page and there will be links to all the other events.

On the Canadian barrel racing front Lyndsay Sears and Deb Renger ran matching times of 14.24. Linz on Martha and Deb on her 6 year old Harley. Traci Dawson ran Rana Walter's gelding Doc for a 14.00 +5. The would have shoulda coulda won the round minus the tip. Good things to come for that pair when they leave the barrels up in the next round! Brittaney Pozzi tipped her first barrel in 21 runs at the NFR, this will make it harder for her to overtake Lindsay Sears for the world championship. Stich and Brittaney are known to make their big check in the average race, not by winning rounds (like Linz and Martha). Should be interesting to see how the week plays out.

Curtis Cassidy got second in the steer wrestling, but the Cassidy horse Willy was the big winner of the night placing 3 times for over $30,000 in earnings! Dusty LaValley, 10th with an 81 point ride.
