Mine That Bird Hits Traffic Jam

Mine That Bird didn't find the same opening he did in the Kentucky Derby but still came from the back to finish second. Rachel Alexandria won the Preakness.

Here is a good article about the plans for the horses and jockey's for the Beaumont.

Watch the video of the Preakness. Mine That Bird hangs back to make his move....never underestimate someone who sits back and analyzes the situation! I would think they might be a little hesitant about giving him the rail this race. You have to had it to Rachel Alexandria for running strong the whole race. She is the first filly in 85 years to win the Preakness

Awesome Victory for Mine That Bird

This is an awesome video of this past weekends Kentucky Derby winner Mine That Bird. Make sure you watch the video until at least around the 7 second mark. It is so cool to see the horses from a "birds eye view". Jockey Calvin Borel is very emotional and fun to watch. ::Michelle::

In a performance reminiscent of his winning ride aboard Street Sense two years earlier, Calvin Borel hugged the rail throughout then exploded through the stretch to guide Mine That Bird to an improbable 6 3/4-length victory over Pioneerof the Nile in the 135th running of the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs. The victory capped off a memorable weekend for Borel, who also rode Rachel Alexandra to a one-sided triumph in Friday's Kentucky Oaks. (Source DRF)
