3 go round buckles and an arena record for Cervi

Sherry Cervi beat the current arena record at the Thomas and Mack in round 8. It was also her 3rd go round win. Cervi and her 8 year old mare MP Meter My Hay "Stingray" toppled the past NFR best of 13.52 seconds set by Brandie Halls and I Am Not Te (“Slim”) in 2006

“Warming her up, I knew it was either going to be really good or really bad,” Cervi said of the record-breaking run with Stingray. “She was feeling good, and I knew that she was going to run hard. I just try to make the same run that I do every night. Obviously, it was just a little bit faster.”

Canadian Round Up: In the bareback Dusty LaValley placed 4th again and holds his 4th place average position. Saddle Bronc rider Dustin Flundra is not having the same luck failing to post a score in round 8. Cody Cassidy split 2nd and 3rd, moving into 3rd spot in the average. Brother Curis split the 5/6 cheques. Rounding up the 5 Canadian contestants Lindsay Sears placed in her 5th round of the NFR taking home 4th place money.
